Many girls do not pay attention to pain, considering this to be normal (although this is true), but still, excessive pain can be caused by certain diseases that need to be treated.

As doctors notice, pain is the result of the functioning of the female reproductive system. More precisely, during menstruation, the female body produces hormones – prostaglandins, and they contribute to the contraction of the uterus. As a result of these contractions, its inner shell is rejected, therefore, menstrual blood is released, and it is these contractions that many women take as pain. How much pain is felt depends on the level of prostaglandins. Most often, pain occurs a few hours before the onset of menstruation and lasts 1-2 days during menstruation.

A little pain can be tolerated – this is not a cause for concern, but if the pain is unbearable, then this is a reason to visit a gynecologist. The causes of such pain can be an infectious disease or inflammation, diseases of the nervous system, urinary organs and other causes. Therefore, you should contact a specialist and, if necessary, start treatment so that there are no further problems. If, nevertheless, you do not have any problems, and the pain is caused due to the incorrect location of the uterus (this also happens), then you should try to get rid of the pain with the help of various medical and folk remedies and recipes. Let's look at some of them.

1. You can take a hot foot bath and eat foods that are low in sugar and fat. True, they say that sweets improve mood and can reduce pain during menstruation – for example, chocolate helps me a lot – better than any painkillers.
